SingMe Merseyside are honoured to have been invited to perform at the BBC Radio Merseyside Freedom of The City Event on the evening of Wednesday 14th March in St George's Hall Concert

It was so busy over the 2017 Christmas period that SingMe Merseyside could not fit in our usual Christmas celebration! But we love a good party so we threw one on 3rd February 2018 to coincide with the Chinese New Year. Following on from the success of our previous Christmas party,

SingMe Merseyside alongside Coddiwomple Travel organised our first ever trans-national trip in December 2017! 150 SingMe singers including some friends and family plus our lucky mascots travelled from Merseyside on 3 coaches to Southampton where we boarded the fabulous P&O Aurora cruise ship. We were a named act on this cruise ship and was sharing the bill in the 900-seater Curzon theatre with soul legend, Jimmy James and The Vagabonds! We raised money for Macmillan Cancer Care at this concert and we would like to thank the audience and P&O Cruises for their generosity. The SingMe singers also entertained guests in the wonderful Crow's Nest Bar for formal night pre-dinner drinks.

A massive thank you goes out to each and every one of the SingMe singers for delivering an absolutely excellent series of performances during this trip - many passengers commented on how much they enjoyed us and this was also the sentiment of P&O Cruises! Thank you to SingMe Wirral Met’s Dot Cotton‘s husband, Tony, for capturing some fab photos of our adventure!

We were also granted a performance licence by the Mayor of Bruges and performed for the first time on foreign shores next to the canal in Bruges to an appreciative, international audience of onlookers! SingMe Merseyside also supported and performed at the sail-away event as we departed from Bruges. This was a very memorable and special performance and the P&O staff reported that it was one of the best ever events of this kind!

Considering SingMe does not use any choreography in our performances, we delivered an almost militarily precise series of flag waving moves led by P&O Entertainment Manager, Jon Bartram. There was also plenty of time to enjoy the numerous bars, activities, restaurants and shows on board plus some very funny times in the karaoke bar! Bruges was enjoyed by all and we all had a fabulous time exploring the local sights and Christmas market.

A big thank you to SingMe Choir Manager, Wendy Williamson, for once again keeping everything running smoothly and literally ship-shape! Our next transnational cruise is already booked for February 2019 aboard the fabulous P&O Ventura!

The Wallasey Lions had their 42nd Annual Charter celebration at the Wallasey Masonic Hall on Saturday 17th February 2018. SingMe Merseyside were delighted to be invited along to perform at this event. The Lions have a firm focus, locally and internationally, on supporting and raising awareness of their nominated charities. This fits right in with the SingMe philosophy and we all had a fabulous time singing a selection of our songs and unique medleys to the appreciative audience which included the Mayor of Wirral, Councillor Ann McLachlan. A great thank you to the president of the Wallasey Lions for offering us a generous donation towards the SingMe Merseyside nominated charities!

Our new office in the Old School, Liscard is now fully set up and running! It is a fabulous place to work and we are being looked after very well by John Byrne and the Liscard Business Centre team. We have had numerous visitors bearing gifts most of which, we must say, were of an alcoholic nature! We believe that most visitors just come along to see our feature wall which is painted in sparkly SingMe purple colours! Contact us to arrange an appointment if you would like to see us. Don't forget to bring along some gifts too!

Room. We will be rubbing shoulders with a fantastic line-up of Merseyside's best-known talent as the radio station receives Liverpool's highest civic honour. Tickets will be available from mid-February for a suggested donation of £10 for BBC Children In Need. Listen out for details which will be broadcast on BBC Radio Merseyside.

we returned to the fabulous Chung Ku Restaurant on Liverpool's iconic waterfront where 130 of the SingMe members enjoyed a delicious meal, one or two drinks and a good dance to music provided by Martin Fletcher from Arrow Events. As per our previous visit, we took over the whole top floor of the venue! Everyone had a fabulous time and it was fantastic to see so many SingMe singers letting their hair down and socialising. Happy 2018!

SingMe Merseyside had a fabulous time on a return visit to Christ Church Higher Bebington for a fundraising concert on the evening of Friday 26th January 2018. It was fabulous to be sharing the bill with the fantastic Calli Hughes and her great set of songs from various genres. The church is lovely and welcoming and we must thank Graham for looking after us again and acting as host for the concert plus a big thanks to SingMe Bebington member, Heather Whitehead, for making the initial introductions. This concert saw our first public outing of the brand new SingMe arrangement of Leonard Cohen’s classic, Hallelujah. It sounded fabulous. The audience really appreciated it and we must thank each and every member of the SingMe choir for an absolutely fantastic performance! We have already been invited back for next year’s fundraiser in 2019! We are very much looking forward to it.
